Tomorrow’s Weather Here Today
(Weather Forecasting)

I am the Weather Dude and that's my job,
To bring the forecast home to you.
To warn you 'bout the rain, the clouds, the fog,
The snowfall and the thunder-boomers too.

Say, have you ever wondered how we tell
Just what the weather's going to do?
Why usually we do it fairly well,
But sometimes you don't think we have a clue!

The weather, it is always changing.
We chart the changes as the day goes by.
We measure heat and cold, humidity and wind,
And track the storms with satellites up high.

A thousand people and a thousand tools,
We learn what each one has to say.
Then with computers and some basic rules,
We present tomorrow's weather here today.

We know more science than we've ever known.
But we can never learn enough.
'Cause time and time again the sky has shown
This job of weather watching can be tough!

Sometimes a weather change is sudden,
It catches everybody by surprise.
So while we watch our instruments and plot our maps,
We also learn to trust our own two eyes.

A thousand people and a thousand tools,
We learn what each one has to say.
And with our brains we use some basic rules,
'And present tomorrow's weather here today.

I am the Weather Dude and I will be
Your window to what's on the way.
I'll watch the sky so very carefully
And present tomorrow's weather here today.
